Health.

There is a growing consensus that coffee has multiple health benefits.  From anti-cancer compounds to reducing the risk of type 2 diabetes to helping to lose weight and reduce the risk of heart failure, research is emerging that aligns with our shared values.

“[M]oderate coffee consumption seems remarkably safe, and it can be incorporated as part of a healthy diet by most of the adult population.” (1)

“Coffee contains hundreds of biologically active compounds, some of which have been shown in the lab to have anti-cancer activity...” (2)

“... there’s a 20% to 30% reduction in risk of type 2 diabetes if you drink three cups of coffee a day...” (3)

In a recent study, drinking coffee was linked to a lower risk of heart failure, stroke and coronary heart disease.

Environment.

Coffee is one of the most widely traded commodities in the world – with over 12 billion pounds of coffee produced annually. (4)

Conventional coffee is among the most heavily chemically treated foods in the world. It is steeped in synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, and insecticides, which not only impact human health, but the environment.

We genuinely believe that our focus on eliminating the use of these chemicals leads a more sustainable planet.  By working with our friend and soil biologist, Arturo Ballar Ortiz, we are continuously finding more holistic ways to grow the finest organic 100% Kona coffee.

Farmers.

As caretakers of the land at Konalicious Organic Coffee, LLC©, we are with our organic coffee trees daily.  The people who work with us on the farm are our 'Ohana (family).

It is very important to us to ensure that they enjoy helping us to grow our organic 100% Kona coffee in a way that does not compromise their health.

As Alan Wells, estate purveyor likes to say, “come walk the land” with us and learn more about our focus on health, the environment, and our farming 'Ohana.

ORGANIC MATTERS

At Konalicious Organic Coffee, LLC©, we believe that fewer chemicals in our lives is a good thing. We also believe that as bioaccumulators, the fewer toxins from additives and pesticides we intake, the better.
